Flass
Flass is built in an Italian style and was erected in 1851 for Wilkinson Dent Esq. The limestone facing was brought from Orton Scar by Cumbria Stone Quarries for the mansion. In 1860 the Parkins of Crosby Ravensworth - stonemasons for Cumbria Stone Quarries, also built the bridge across the Lyvennet in Maulds Meaburn for the Dent family at a cost of £552 to shorten Wilkinson's journey to church.

At the present time Flass is a residential school for the performing arts. In September 2004 work started on the cleaning and restoration of the outside of the building and this is shown on the recent views of the rear of the building by the photographs on this page.
