This site is intended to replace the Maulds Meaburn site and will eventually cover material for the Eden Valley as a whole. A specific Maulds Meaburn site can be found by using the menu to the left, or the link at the top of this page. As the site is on a different server the pages should load more quickly.
The Eden Valley is situated between the Lake District to the West, the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales to the east with Hadrians Wall to the North. It follows the 90miles of the River Eden from its source at Hell Gill in the Pennines above Mallerstang Common, through historic Carlisle to enter the Solway Firth near the mouth of the River Esk. The area is often neglected by tourists but is a beautiful part of the country, with a quieter, more peaceful way of life.
